Scotland 2022

In October 2022, we went on a wonderful trip all around the famous North coast 500. We didn't run into The Proclaimers but it was still a fantastic holiday. We visited many places including the Isle of Skye, Ullapool, Thurso, the Wolf Distillery and John O'Groats.

Harrogate 2023

We had a nice winter weekend away in Harrogate which included a visit to York.

The hotel Cairn was fabulous, they even had some unexpected entertainment during the night.

The weekend finished with a visit to the village of Haworth, once the home of the Victorian writers the Bronte’s.

In 2024 we are paying a summer visit in July to Harrogate, with a new itinerary, also including Afternoon Tea at Betty's. This time we are staying at the Cedar Hotel, overlooking the Stray Parkland.

Morecambe 2023

A special weekend for our loyal customers, we had a great weekend in Morecambe, starting with a visit to the Brief Encounter Tea Rooms at Carnforth. Saturday we had a visit to the City of Lancaster where we were able to see the Castle, the market and visit the shops, with a good nights entertainment after dinner.

Before leaving for home, everyone had a good Sunday lunch.

Llandudno 2023

This year, we put on two holidays to Llandudno. The first was during the summer. We stayed in a wonderful hotel, The Marlborough and the weather was perfect, making a weekend to remember.

We returned to Llandudno for our turkey and tinsel event in November. We had a fantastic meal and enjoyed plenty of entertainment.



North Yorkshire 2023

Once again, we stayed at the wonderful Raven Hall Hotel Ravenscar, with its spectacular views over Robin Hoods Bay.

Our first visit was to Thornton Le Dale, where two old Lutonians got re-acquainted, Derek Matthewson and Gina. It was a lovely afternoon, with time to explore the village and Matthewsons Museum and shop.

Other visits during the holiday were to Scarborough, Whitby, Pickering and Goathland, the village where the TV series Heartbeat was filmed.

Torquay 2023

The week we visited Torquay was one of the best weeks of the year and everybody had a fantastic holiday.

On the way we stopped at Burnham on Sea for lunch and enjoyed the sunshine. The Headland Hotel was brilliant with an excellent staff, and truly wonderful food. Good use was made of the sun terrace this week to. Excursions were to Sidmouth a lovely resort which we shall be visiting for a holiday in May 2024. Our other Excursion was a Boat trip on the Dart from Totnes to Dartmouth, with Ospreys to be seen on the voyage, in the afternoon it was across the Dart to Kingswear to join the train to Paignton where our party rejoined the coach to return to Torquay.

Many of us enjoyed an evening at the Babbacombe Theatre and on Thursday the excellent Peter Baffles entertained with his magic and comedy.

Ireland 2023

This holiday was excellent with a fantastic hotel in Dublin, followed by a morning exploring this vibrant city. We then travelled to the west coast and our hotel overlooking the Atlantic at Enniscrone, which had the most superb Tubbercurry Beef Dinners.  We visited Donegal Mullagmore, where Lord Mountbatten was blown up. Despite a poor weather forecast, one traveller said the weather would be good and we headed to Achill Island the most western point in Europe on a truly lovely day, where most joined in for a group photograph. 

Bournemouth 2023

Bournemouth is home to our personal favourite hotel that we stay in, The Cumberland Hotel. This year, we did our Turkey & Tinsel event here and were lucky to experience some beautiful Christmas scenes. We visited the German market, which was selling a wide variety of Christmas treats and decorations! We also paid a visit to Salisbury market which also had many things on offer. In the evenings, we enjoyed plenty of entertainment, drinks and food!

Thursford 2023

In 2023, we were lucky enough to get tickets for the famous Thursford Show and also had a lovely stay at the Le Strange hotel. The Christmas Spectacular is an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. With a cast of 130, this is the biggest Christmas show of its kind in Europe! In addition, we visited the lovely town of Stamford and Norfolk Lavender for morning coffee.
